Individuality
I care
I will try
I will believe
I have a dream
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s initials almost spell the word milk... Only
missing the "I"... The "I" as expressed in the ideas above. But
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s life also stood for the I as seen in
selflessness.
-
There is no "I" in team and Martin Luther King
Jr. showed this in his attitude all throughout his quest for civil
rights by working with others such as protesters of unequal rights
all the way to government officials and congressmen.
-
He cared about the whole United States of
America, enough to give a speech and take a stand for civil
rights. He sacrificed himself for the country. He lost his "I"
when
his life was taken in Memphis Tennessee.
-
He showed people that one individual can make a
difference.
-
He showed the nation that "I care" is a strength.
But, "I own" is a weakness.
-
He dared to dream a dream of equality where all "I's"
are heard and accepted.
-
He was a man of vision and his "eyes" saw the
glory.
-
We celebrate his birthday because he sacrificed
for us, shared his light with us and "eyed" freedom for us...defined
a new way for all to be truly free.
